From Warren and Gene Hill, Fayetteville, GA:
Bobbie Evans was an angel sent from God. A dear friend of ours was going through a crisis situation with his wife and we wanted to help him. We heard about her seminar given at Sam’s Auditorium in Fayetteville, GA, and this was just the beginning of a special relationship, as she guided us step by step.

From Leo and Linda Carter, Fayetteville, GA:
From the moment you were recommended by the Orthopedic surgeon you helped us during a difficult and trying time; navigating us through an unfamiliar area of health care. Your knowledge and expertise helped to facilitate the maze of paperwork and found a quality health care facility that was priceless.

From David Mitchell, Sharpsburg, GA:
[Your] assessment was quite thorough and addressed all the needs of my mother. We were amazed that you were able to provide someone to serve my mother as quickly as you did. The lady you introduced us to was perfect for my mother and our family needs. The two of them immediately formed a strong relationship and the caregiver became a part of our lives. She more than exceeded our expectations in caring for Mother and performed extra duties.

From Holly Benson:

From Ruth and John Hicks:
Bobbie met with us, listened carefully, did her homework, and set up visits to five residences in one day. We only missed one day of work…we felt it was a miracle. We highly recommend Bobbie Evans to anybody that needs her services. She is warm, caring, and works for her clients.

From Sandra Bray-Wilson of Newnan, GA:
Dear Bobbie,
I want to take this opportunity to say “Thank You” for
all you have done and continue to do for our family. When my mother
was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, I had no idea where to turn. You
were an answer to prayer! You gave us expert advice and loving
care. You have always made us feel as if we were your only clients.
I know that I can continue to count on your compassion and experience
as Mother’s needs increase.
I am pleased to recommend Saints Alive Senior Referral to anyone
I know or meet who is in need of help for a loved one or for themselves.
I am confident that they will receive the same level of personal
service that you have always shown to us.
With much thanks,
Sandra Bray-Wilson

GA
Dear Bobbie,
We would like to take this opportunity to share what you have
meant to us and our dear friend.
Bobbie Evans was an angel sent from God. A dear friend of ours
was going through a crisis situation with his wife and we wanted
to help him. We heard about her seminar given at the Sam’s Auditorium
in Fayetteville, GA and this was just the beginning of a special
relationship as she guided us step by step. She was able to assess
the situation and educate us with each level of care available.
The family then decided, based on the assessment, to get additional
assistance in the home. She set up through a personal care agency
certified nurse assistants to help with all the activities of
daily living. This enabled the husband to have some relief of
all the demands put on him and gave him the security of knowing
someone was there when he had to go.
As our friend’s situation worsened with his wife, she continued
to guide us through the next level of care that would provide
us with resources and options including assisted living and Alzheimer’s
care facilities that specialized in Alzheimer’s disease. Even
though personal care was the choice of the husband, she respected
our wishes and continued to support us in whatever situation arose.
Her passion to help and provide various levels of care has been
unbelievable. She continues to monitor our friend’s situation,
giving support and guidance in whatever the family faces, as well
as a sounding board when times get weary. We would highly recommend
Saints Alive (Bobbie Evans) to any family facing a crisis with
their loved one. We feel she has gone far and beyond the call
of duty and her passion to help others reflects that in everything
she does.
With many thanks,
Warren and Jean Hill
The Taylor’s Story
Each year we would drive to central Florida 2-3 times to see
Mom and Dad,
then in their 70’s. In 1999 Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s
disease
and in 2000 we noticed that Dad was “losing a step”
mentally each time we
visited. The dementia phase of the disease was beginning. By this
time
we had been missionaries with Operation Mobilization for nearly
four years
and we knew this would change all of our lives eventually.
We tried to convince them that it would be best if they would
move to the
Atlanta area so we could take care of them. Mom would not have
that, at
least not initially. Connie and I prayed about what to do and
we were
ready and willing to move to Florida to take care of them. Our
supervisors at the mission agency gave us clearance to move and
to work by
modem and fax when we could not commute back to Georgia for a
week or two.
When we took Mom and Dad out to look at duplexes that we could
buy, Mom
said, “You can’t leave the ministry. We’ll move
up to Georgia.”
God found a perfect home for the four of us within three weeks.
It was a
two story with a beautiful apartment on the lower level. It was
perfect
for Mom and Dad. It was only 2.5 miles for the mission office
and we
bought it! I would like to say we lived happily ever after but
after
almost a year we realized that Dad’s condition was deteriorating
further
and we did not have the skills to help him as much as he needed
and as
much as he deserved.
We had worked with our local senior services agency and the caseworker
suggested we call Bobbie Evans of Saints Alive. It was a life-changing
call. Bobbie walked us through the process of finding the right
nursing
home for Dad, not just “a” nursing home. She set up
tours of two
facilities and she escorted Connie, Mom and me through the whole
process.
After seeing Christian City we knew this was the one where Pop’s
condition
could be best treated. Within two months of our visit they called
with a
vacancy. We thought it was for Dad and the admissions director
(of the
assisted living facility at Christian City) said, “No, this
is for your
mother.” When she checked about a room for Dad she found
that our name
was on the desk of the Convalescent Center’s admissions
director to call
that day. What a blessing. They both had rooms and we were able
to move
them in within two weeks. In addition, Mom lived in the adjacent
building
from Dad so she was able to visit him any time of the day or night
and
each day she would go over and feed him lunch. She still felt
needed and
she was a part of his daily care.
A few weeks later, near Christmas, Bobbie stopped by to visit
Mom and on
Valentines she sent her cookies. When we had Mom and Dad’s
60th Wedding
Anniversary party at our home Bobbie stopped by to congratulate
my
parents. Sure she started out being our advocate and advisor but
Bobbie
ended up being our friend. That sets her apart from many people
in her
field. She takes genuine interests in those she serves. They are
not
just clients. They are her friends.
Bobbie blessed all of us through her services to Mom and Dad
and we are
very grateful.

Dad died after 14 months in the convalescent center. We know he
had great
care from loving people.
