Crescent and Central Georgia Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk. She has served on the Central Georgia Regional Board of Directors for the last three years as an advocate for educating families who have been affected by Alzheimer’s disease. She has also served on the Southern Crescent and Central Georgia Alzheimer’s Association development committee since 2002.
Over the past eight years, she has given over 450 presentations educating civic organizations, church congregations, hospitals, doctor’s offices, support groups, as well as, many corporate human resource departments. In addition to her community presentations, Bobbie has taught workshops at Griffin Technical College, and Georgia College and State University. As well as her work with Alzheimer’s, Bobbie has given countless hours volunteering with several other community organizations. She is a charter member with the Faith and Action Coalition, a charter member of the Rosalyn Carter Institute and a speaker for their Caring for the Caregiver program.
In addition to serving others through Saints Alive Cares, Bobbie has served as President and two terms as Vice President for the McIntosh Charter Chapter of the American Business Women Association. She was awarded the “Woman of the Year Award” in 2004 and 2005 nominee for the “Top Ten Business Woman” and “Woman of the Year Award for the Atlanta Area Council. 2006 she received the Inner Circle Award for sponsoring and mentoring 11 women into the organization for personal and professional growth. January 2007, she was nominated for the “Business of the Year Award” from the National Republican Congressional Committee.
Most recently, Bobbie has started preparing for her long term goal and vision of a Respite Care Center for caregivers who are overstressed from caring of their loved ones, through a nonprofit foundation which will be named Saints Alive Cares Foundation. The Foundation will provide funding for respite care and many other benefits to seniors and their families.
She currently is attending a Christian based Lay Counseling Course to better equip her in counseling families on end of life decisions. She attended Northern Virginia Community College in Business Administration, Gordon College, and Macon State for Healthcare Administration.
