The Hollingsworth House
is owned by the City of Fayetteville Downtown Development
Authority and is available for use by the public subject to
certain rules and regulations. The house is handicap-accessible.
The total capacity permitted by the fire department is 275
persons.
Rental fees and security deposits are
required in accordance with the DDA’s rate schedule. The
security deposit is collected to cover any damages to the
house or its furnishings and/or to cover any additional hours
that the house is used. The house must be completely vacated
at the time stated in the rental agreement or additional
charges will be deducted out of the security deposit. This
security deposit will be refunded if none of the above apply.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday rentals include up to two visits
to the house, if needed. Any additional consultations will be
$75/hr.
Individuals reserving the house must be
at least 21 years of age and must present valid photo
identification. The house may be reserved for a specified
number of consecutive hours between 8:00 a.m. and midnight
seven days a week.
The individual or group that reserved
the house is responsible to the DDA for any damage to walls,
paint, floor coverings, tables, chairs, fixtures, plumbing,
electrical, kitchen equipment, landscaping or any other
interior and exterior content, fixture and furnishing of the
house. Intentional damage to the property or damage occurring
from negligence could result in legal action.
The individual or group who reserved
the house is responsible for insuring that the
persons present in the house comply with all applicable city
ordinances.
The DDA reserves the right to refuse
the use of the house to any individual or group that has on a
previous occasion failed to comply with any of the terms and
conditions stated in this agreement or any of the rules and
regulations for use of the house.
Adult chaperones must be in attendance
at all times if an activity will be attended by
underage individuals. Children must be supervised.
I have read and understand the rules regarding use of the
Hollingsworth House. As the renter, I acknowledge that I am
responsible to the Downtown Development Authority for any
injury or damage that results from the failure to follow these
rules, and that failure to follow these rules could lead to
the loss of my security deposit.
