Directions to the Hollingsworth House from Atlanta:
Go I-75 South and exit at the GA Hwy. 85/Riverdale Exit. Stay
straight on GA 85 all the way until you get to the intersection
of GA Hwy.85 and GA Hwy.54 in downtown Fayetteville. The old
courthouse will be across to your left. Turn right on Hwy. 54
West and go two blocks. You will make a left and go thru the
median of the highway. Take another left and you will be on GA
Hwy. 54 going east back toward the courthouse. On your right,
you will see the old cemetary, the Board of Education and then
the Hollingsworth House.
From Peachtree City/Newnan area:
Go east on Highway 54 toward Fayetteville. Two blocks before you
get to the Courthouse and downtown square, you will pass the old
Fayetteville Cemetery and the Board of Education on your right.
The Hollingsworth House will be the next house on the right.
There is a sign out front. Parking is in the back or to the
right or left of the house.
From Jonesboro and Henry County area:
Go west on GA Hwy. 54 toward Fayetteville. When you get to the
traffic light at GA Hwy. 54 and GA Hwy. 85, the old courthouse
will be on your left. Get in the middle lane and stay straight
on 54, crossing over Hwy. 85. Go two blocks and turn left going
thru the median of the highway. Turn left again onto GA Hwy. 54
East heading back toward the old courthouse. On the right, you
will see the old cemetary, the Board of Education and the
Hollingsworth House.
Parking is available behind the Hollingsworth House, or on
either side of the Hollingsworth House at the Board of Education
or the County Government Complex. |
